A warm welcome to You all in new article that was never really meant to appear...but still.


Today there will be fewer screenshots, and more substantive content.

Technical and general point of view and further outline of the future of the project, as well as changes that will take place in the near future.

The previous informations will move to the new article right when this one will be out, where you will be updated on the progress, sometimes regress, and the various twists and turns that have affected the project.

Traditionally, we will start with the Technical Update and the key changes that will take place in both the Showcase Version and the final Build 1.0


Technical:

- OpenJK does not interfere with Recreated_GL in terms of edge outlining.

- Built-in system to change graphics from Default to Recreated_GL and vice versa from the main menu.

- Preset Loader from main menu (Sideway, cover, dodge, grenades super throw, manual weapon zoom)

- Strengthened lighting, increased brush limit. (Huge changes relative to the Rugosa map for Challenge mode - new Video soon in the new Developer Vlog, which will return regularly).

- Improved models of battle droids, thanks to the new limits you will be able to see details such as small dents on the backpacks, improved rigging, and thanks to point collision, headshots are even more precise and rewarded.

- The Venator cruiser has been improved, with new patterns on the walls.

- The Venator cruiser's emergency lighting has been changed from red to yellow.

- Holograms improved, better shadering, glow.

- New animation for Ahsoka Tano (Seasons 3 - 7).

- A new Salute animation has been added for Clone Troopers.

- Changed the Color Scheme of the Robes for Anakin, More towards Episode III.

Gameplay:

- Improved accuracy when shooting sideways and increased damage, mostly it's one shot, one kill. This is to further encourage the use of new features.

- Increased the damage when shooting from behind cover, replacing the default weapon damage, however, for balance, increased the missed shots from behind cover.

- The effect of precision throws (Droid Popper) has been strengthened - from now on, a precision throw will deal even more damage, and a full shield will no longer provide protection.

- Sniper sight damage. From now on, if you shoot the sniper module too often and receive damage, the scope will not work and you are forced to use the manual zoom. The greater the damage, the longer the repair time of the sniper module.

- The difficulty level has been reduced.

The last chapter will be what I wanted very much to avoid, unfortunately, it did not work out.
I apologize to the people who have been here since the first days and faithfully support.


We start with the most important informations.

New Release Dates set and the Reasons behind it:

- Open testing of the Showcase Version is still underway, and will continue until December 22.

- My skills as developer, scripter, mapper, music producer has increased, a wider field to maneuver, an even more improved engine, merged with Recreated_GL, Now i can create things that i could only imagine which will be heralded by a new mode - Challenge Mode.

For days I have been collecting reports on the Showcase Build Open Testing Phase One & Phase Two.

The biggest problem is...the balance of gameplay, for some too easy, for some too difficult.
And in its current state, both the Showcase and 1.0 Build versions are not adapted to the needs of the player, I have to find a golden solution. (Earsing level difficulties provided better engine stability a lot)

- Problems on low-quality computers. This is a problem that I will not bypass. I did my best to reduce shaders that harm PC's. The project itself is very demanding, be prepared to strengthen your machines. I will announce the hardware requirements once everything is finalized.

- Recently I have been testing gameplay on a medium quality computer, i.e. 8 core processor and 1660 Graphics Card with standard Nvidia Presets. FPS during intense battles is around 40 - 55. Vanilla Renderer will provide better performace, but its not recomennded in terms of Visuals.

-Less Brain Fog, more clarity and new ideas to finalize last two DLC's

I think we all know it when there is a lack of ideas, mental exhaustion and other problems.

- A new formed Team called Developer Zero

(This is just a working, mocking name, officially it will still remain The Clone Wars Recreated Productions)


Sounds controversial? And that's how it should be.
Controversy is created by great projects and ambitious people, without regard to others.
The Developer Zero is nothing more than searching for people willing to help in the upcoming 2.0, 3.0 
and UE Build.


This is no secret. I'm going to form a team of people who don't argue with each other, don't compete, 
who don't even have experience but are willing to help and experience new chapter. 

There is no place in Developer Zero for people who are stuck in the perfection loop. 
We will build everything with normal players in mind, not fetishists, map detail hunters and so on. 
As long as its not game-breaking and eye hurting, screw it. I'm out of that perfection loop.
There will also be no room for jealous people who are just waiting to steal something, claim it as their own. 
There will also be no room for those who are just waiting for the Source Code.
Over time, Recreated_GL will replace OpenJK and I will not be forced to publish the code. 
In Fact You won't find anything in the OpenJK code related to the graphics, holsters, effects, AI etc.

Do you feel like a Zero? maybe you don't feel good in one group, or maybe you want to learn different things, or maybe you don't feel good enough, or you are inspired by my work and contribution to this project, or maybe you just start and don't know where to go, or maybe you just have an idea for content?..

This will be a place just for you, above all. A group of people who will show heart, instead of jelaousy that sometimes hits the bar. Skills are not required. Good heart, intentions and will.

I have been part of many projects and groups and have drawn far-reaching conclusions. 

You may have skills above anyone else, and knowledge of the whole world 
but if your heart is hopeless, you are nothing.


Developer Zero will be a place for humble people who respect themselves and the work of others.
I can already announce that several people are eager to join. 


- Animations, my biggest pain point
I don't like doing them, especially I use outdated technology, and delays also result from the fact that.... 

I still do everything myself. 
I won't blame the people who promised help. Each of us has a private life. I take the blame.


Forbearance will also be part of Developer Zero. There will be no room for arguments and pointing out what, who was supposed to do or why they didn't do it.

And now you may be asking yourself whether something like this can survive at all?

Yes. It will survive because good words are like a honeycomb. And it builds others. Instead blaming others.

And maybe let this be my human message to other Groups that are at odds with each other over stupid things
life is too short for this and tomorrow is not promised to anyone. 
It's better to live knowing that you live in harmony with someone.

- Another problem is the expiration of most licenses for this year
When it comes to licenses, this year is lost and most testers experienced deficiencies in music, setting, etc.
not all music is mine, yes I have my contribution but it is also based on other licenses
that have been renewed and extended for another 3 years. Hence the decision to postpone the dates.


- And the most important reason...
I want to polish this product as much as possible, even though Star Wars is long dead for me, the sentiment,
love, and respect for you, and The Clone Wars remains and will remain unchanged. 

There is no chance for 1.0 to improve all maps 
Most of them are build from 2013 to 2017. A lot of them has been revamped, optimized, and many new done.
It was only recently that I switched to newer technology, which has spread my wings in creating maps.

But not all of them. That doesn't mean it will ruin the quality and atmosphere of The Clone Wars.

I know that the people who will suffer the most here are those who have been following my humble career
 from the beginning, not much people who are just joining or have joined will lose.


- The shortcomings are complemented by new gameplay and new unique solutions
