Today we announce another small patch that fixes an issue arising from the final shutdown of the Gamespy servers.

Hello and welcome back to another Forgotten Hope 2 update.

If you have tried to play FH2 over the last two days, you might have noticed a delay when starting the game. It turns out that our modified BF2.exe still tried to reach one of the Gamespy servers, which have now shut down completely.

We have fixed this problem and this means we can release Forgotten Hope 2.48 on

Tuesday 29th July 2014 @ 12:00 UTC

But this fix is not all, a number of small changes will be coming, including:

  • Changes to the gameplay of Anctoville
  • Singleplayer updated for Villers Bocage, Lebisey, Operation Hyacinth, Fall of Tobruk
  • AI strategies for push maps, Commander, and many vehicles and weapons altered

That's great news, people!

Could you fix the problems with the bots getting stuck in one of the spawning points and not moving? (sorry to ask, but I don't know what "AI strategies" means).

Anyway, thanks a lot for the update!

First of all, thanks a lot for this new update.

I have tried the game a little yesterday, and the bots are mucho more agressive now. Yet when playing Anctoville some of them still got stuck in one of the spawning points (not in the first one as before, but on the last one, so the map was playable).

And Omaha Beach is still unplayable because of heavy lag (it starts as soon as the Americans hit the beach).

So, if you could find a fix for this problems, it would be really nice. But there has been some great improvement there.

Omaha beach is very hard on performance because of so many bots shooting and dieing in the same area. without a better computer you will probably not be able to play it smoothly.
