Hello followers, fans and future followers,

first of all we from Darknightmarestudios want to thank you for the support in 2011 and want to welcome you in 2012 :) We hope that we gat the same support as in 2011 or even more.

The first great thing is that we started to work with "Tom Stoffel". He is an awesome Soundtrack Composer and will redo some of the Ocarina of Time Tracks.
He is really awesome and made music for many Indie Games like "Underhell: Prologue"

So now to the actual Game Part.

First of all we need more time to make the video about the sneek peek of the Hyrule Fields.
Its probably up next week so we can finally show something to you.
For now i can show you some screenshots of the actual development stages.

Second i want to show you some of the weapons which are already implemented.
Please keep in minds that we wanted to be as near as possible to the original !!! So dont expect something really new. We are currently thinking about some gras on the ground but thats really performence expensive. My FPS go down from 120 to about 40 when using Gras all over the map.

Well thats it for the Hyrule Plains for now. In the Video we will also show the Camera and the rest of it.

Next thing is the Development Stage of the Gerudo Valley

We are also currently working on the HUD which will hopefully done next week too. Heres a sneek peek of that too.

I'd love to see you guys go away from the extreme low poly. The walls of hyrule castle could have proper foundations and crenellations, protruding balustrades and more general clutter. I know you're trying to make a dedicated re-make, but don't you want to make the Ocarina you remember? Because the Ocarina I remember looked soooooo much better than the ocarina that exists. You should really embrace the new found power of the UDK and enhance the environments. I'm not saying go nuts and destroy the heritage, just don't be afraid to add more attractive details.

Thanks for the input. As you can see we are trying to make it better with Gerudo Valley. We were actually afraid of doing something new and yes youre right the engine is awesome but the coding sucks :)

The biggest problem was the hyrule plains though. So please bare with us and we are making it better at the other locations :)

This is a great update but even though this is WIP but the Hylian shield is not right at the bottom of the shield it should be pointy not flat. But like I said before this is still WIP so keep it up...

Yes i got BC 2 :) Check my Gameslist and you will see it. Also BF 3, MW 3, pretty much all you can have ^^

You really shouldn't do a 1:1 port with high-res textures.
Rather take advantage of the engine you're using and create something really nice looking.

Just imagine how awesome a new Zelda game could look on let's say WiiU.
