NEWS 24/12/10 - CHRISTMAS UPDATE
Welcome to today's Christmas update from all here at the Task Force Black team. First up we are excited to be able to present yet another new gameplay feature programmed by team coder Mr.Hankey. This time it is a surface ricochet system which allows for realistic ricochets to occur based on several factors. These factors include the surface type struck by the round and also the angle at which it is struck. This short video details the system, the chances of the ricochet occuring have been increased for demonstration purposes.
Next up we are also proud to be able to present the final draft of the C8SFW. Textures created by team artist BuLL and high poly/low poly models + UV's by Mong0ose. We are currently showcasing both camo and non-camo versions in the CryEngine2 renders below.
Finally to close today's update we would like to present a high-poly model of the ELCAN C79 optic which will feature in the mod. The player will have the choice of the C79 and the Eotech sight at key points in the mission. The model is,as always, courtesy of team modeller Mong0ose.
Thanks for reading today's update, we greatly appreciate your support. We will have more news for you soon so please keep checking back for our next update. Happy Christmas to all!
Why do you use the Elcan on the C8? The TA01 ACOG (with Docter Sight) is the most common ;)
Although the FA556-212 is only used on the shorter C8 CQBs with a 10' barrel.
The front sight is also wrong for the long version, you need the "reinforced front sight" that was build to hold the AG-C.
The front sight of the CQB is modded, the bayonet-lug is cut away to hold the supressor.
