Stargate Special Unit, new zat, new vortex, new stuff ! news

We have a intro new for the mod. It's pretty close to the TV show now and it looks great! Be sure to wait through the introduction to behold the goodness.

We made new loading screens too ! The first and the second ones.
We've fixed tons of bugs as well, spacecraft radar not working online, grenade in the hand of the player even when there was none left just to name two. We also modified some things regarding the objectives in the Asgard map. To those amongst the masses that are not aware of the map, it's a Co-Op map against the replicators aboard an Asgard ship.We increased the view distance in the Antarctica map, a spaceship battle map as seen in the TV series. The Abydos map is now finished. To get a few shots of the work, have a look around the gallery.

The Stargate itself got a makeover in the FX department. The ripples now react to weapons fire as well as player passing through it... Just like the TV show! Watch the video to see some odd autofrags with the Stargates.
And last but not least, we made a new Zat'nik'tel, that also works online!
First shot, the soldier is falling in a realistic way using the physics engine of UT, and he stays on the ground for ten seconds. If he's hit by a second zat shot, then he dies, and a third one makes the body disappear. Watch how it works during an epic battle on p3x-548.
