Happy New Year all,
I hope you all had a lovely Christmas and that you are all ready for a HAPPY NEW YEAR! (well it is already the New Year, but I can still wish you it).
Now this year I am very keen on us getting work done. And inactive members will get warnings before they are kicked, but half of our team were kicked for never having communication or from doing any work. If anyone has any problems then please contact me straight away or the executive manager TheSoldier on any thing you wish to talk about.
Overall this is currently how the structure works within this mod: (Will be updated constantly)
Directing Lead Manager
TheSoldier
Executive Producer
The Soldier DaggerClassStudio
Modeller Leader + Modeller Exporter Map Development CO
Chompster Rainie Edfake Asureka
Modeller Map Developer Music Developer Skinner
Would like to take a moment to welcome a new member Rainie who I would say is quite an experienced if not a talented map maker, who I have invited to join our group to help be a part of our team.
Tasks:
There is no set date for these tasks; HOWEVER progression images MUST be uploaded onto this group page to show myself and the exectuive what work you have done, to show that you are making some progress, even if only little. Once the work is done you are to upload it to the group email... This includes maps Rainie, at.......
bluevsgreydevgroup@gmail.com
The work then is put into a drop box, (a folder) containing all of our work so it is all assembled ready for the release/beta etc... The password to get into the group email is CivilWar, security password is FortSumter (If that does not work, try FortSumner).
SUBMISSION OF WORK TO BE DONE AROUND Late February 2012, or near Easter guys, so you all are going to be given quite some time for these tasks.
NOTICE TO MODELLERS
(As a notice, unfortunately TheSoldier had a malfunction with his hard drive causing some of the existing gun models to be erased; therefore with this little setback, the models need to be re-done in this early spring task before we can progress further in models)
I do apologise for this set back, not my fault or any others, these mistakes just happen; however all work is to be BACKED up to avoid us loosing work again, that is why the group email and the drop box is so important. :)
Chompster:
To complete the following gun models and upload to the group email for TheSoldier to export them into a working format for the game and Gem Editor
Hawken Rifle
Whitworth Rifle
Henry Rifle
Kethum Grenade
(At a later date, will ask you to continue making furniture models, and possibly various carts to be pulled by horses, once gun models are completed)
The Soldier:
To complete the following gun models and upload to the group email, making all gun models into a working format
Colt Model 1860 Pistol
Colt Revolving Rifle
Burnside Carbine
Spencer Repeating Rifle
(At a later date may ask you to work on more caps/hats for officers and cavalryman)
(When having time, we will need you to try, converting the furniture models from the group email into a working format) - however no rush on this additional conversion task as the gun models need to be done as a first priority.
Asureka:
To make progression and work on creating Calvary skins
Icollector.com (Here is a picture of a union cavalrymans skin, also check the uniforms article I made a while back for more helpfull images) NOTE THAT THE SHIRT TEXTURE IS A DARK BLUE, not black
Create 1x Union Cavalry officer skin, 1x union cavalry sergeant, and 1x cavalry private (No rank)
Rainie:
To create a map for Fort Sumter, the fort itself is just a building (then can have it surrounded by walls) TheSoldier says that you try using the Tobruk walls, as Gem Editor is limited in what it offers when it comes down to fort building.
The map will be a very small island with the fort on, surrounded by water completely for the Confederate army to land and take the Union on in a quick but aggressive battle.
