Hello sports fans
As some of you may have noticed, the SourceBall website has been completely redesigned. It's now much easier to navigate and easier on the eyes!
Along with the new website, we figured we'd treat you all to some new media releases as well
Unfortunately we have no new videos for you, but we go have plenty of images as well as some SourceBall music!
Here's the full list of all the new image releases...
- Previews of the following new maps: Gravity Arena, Tokyo Megaplex, Citadel and Court
- Some new concept art for the different player classes
- Images of the final fully-textured Medium class player for Team Rollcage
- Quick preview of a WIP high resolution Heavy player for a currently unnamed team
- The dragon goals from the Tokyo map
- Pictures of the new player HUD
- New wallpaper
As far as sounds go...
- Brand new SourceBall Intro music
- Ambient theme for the Tokyo Megaplex arena
All of these can be found in the Image and Music pages located under Media
Our animation and map preview videos can be found in the Video section as well
We have also completely restructured the way the galleries display and list files, so everything will be a lot easier to find
Some new pages have been added to the website, they include the Overview, Contact and FAQ. You maybe have noticed the mod tour has disappeared....well that has been replaced by the WSL Database which will make an appearance in the next website release sometime in the near future
If you find any problems with the website, please report them in the forum
However it's not just the new website we've been working on:
Rik's project management expertise is being put to good use, and he's done a sterling job of organising our coding team, build schedule and version control- we're now looking more streamlined and focused than ever before.
MrGetdown and Kaos are putting the finishing touches to each of their respective Heavy player models, and the Grav Glove itself is now ready to rock in all its hi-tech nuclear-powered gorgeousness.
Pent, as ever, is doing an entire team's worth of tasks- he's been working on at least 4 maps at last count, and learning some pretty complex modelling to bring you some extra beautiful arena architecture to splatter each other onto.
The coding team, following about the fiftieth reorganisation, is working hard at tying everything together into one perfectly honed package, and has made some major strides in a few key areas.
ToT has taken time out of his busy being-in-King-Kong schedule to produce some stunning FX work with his team, and the in-game music currently being created is going to whip you up into such a SourceBalling frenzy that your heart could well burst from the gaming excitement.
Thanks as always for your support, SourceBall fans. We'll try our hardest to bring you the best game we can, and we'll try to keep you a little more informed than recently about our progress. In the mean time, enjoy the new website!
nice media guys
keep it up
