I have almost completed the weapons and it's close to release. When I'm talking about finishing creating the weapons, I'm talking about weapon in 1st person view, their projectiles, ammo models and pick up models. Here's what they look like in the game. At least they look different.

Ammo Set

So that's dealing with almost 40 pieces of files and putting them all together. There's also tweaking them to change the gameplay. So I've done seven so far and the other three, I'm trying to get polished or made into something different. This is the kind of count in my head.

On paper, 10 weapons may seem easy but when the reality is that I'll be making up to 50 files of original content. So that's time spent making an ammo stack model or a projectile and etc. This what takes my time to make. The good news, those models don't take so long to create. Also making ammo icons and embedding them in game. They look great when I flick in the weapon selecting and seeing something different but fitted the game.

The mod will boot also in the Unreal Gold client, so no knowledge of typing in the Unreal Console to access the mod. So whenever Unreal Gold is ran, anyone can access the match and configure the same bots to experience the weapons just like how Unreal originally intended mods to work. I also had fun adding a special effect. For this weapon, which originally was the Stringer, I had to replace the crystal burst effect with something else and in my opinion, it never looked so good. I didn't expect this. So long as it's different. A shame that I had to take away the future feel of the effect like the glow but I do want the mod to feel backwards to feel that I'm not out there to beat Unreal original weapons in anyway.

I am close to finishing the weapons only section of this mod and releasing it for anyone to try out for Unreal Gold shortly after this month.
