Quick update today, I've added two pictures of the European Rafale to the Images section.
The Rafale is Europe's main attack jet. While it is a fine aircraft in its own right, compared to its American counterpart, the F-35 Lightning II, it is lacking. It carries two powerful guided bombs that can lay waste to unprotected ground forces. When a Rafale is called in all enemy players are given a warning, to simulate it being detected on radar and giving them time to ready interceptors.
In other news, the AI has given me nothing but trouble so far. Unless I can make some real progress it might be initially released with a barely-functioning AI.
... who says that the Rafle is Europe's man attack jet? The Eurofighter will kick *** in comparison to the Rafale.
Zynic Rafale is a perfecly fine fighter/bomber. The Eurofighter is not the main fighter/bomber of europe it's the Elite fighter/bomber. Also Rafale is almost as cool as eurofighter :)
Rafale is French so's ya know.
The Typhoon will be Europe's main air-to-air fighter, no worries. I just chose to create a fighter and an attacker rather than a multirole jet for some variety and to get representation from multiple European countries. They're both "4.5 generation" aircraft, which in gameplay terms means they'll be roughly equally proficient at their given roles.
