Quake Expo 2006 has officially opened its doors. Usually held every two years, this tradition was broken in order to honour Quake's 10th birthday, marked by its retail release on July 22th. QExpo is an online event, lasting eleven days from July 17 to July 27. Modders, mappers, and all-around enthusiasts create online 'booths' to showcase their wares.
This year, QExpo expands to include Quake, Quake II, and Quake III: Arena. Fans are welcome, as well as anyone who wants an interesting site to read every day (many news posts are made per day). Mods and maps are released, events are held such as speedmodding and turtlemapping (with prizes!), high profile interviews are conducted, and enlightening articles are written.
Do yourself a favour, visit QExpo 2006, and spread the word!
