A few new roles need to be filled as soon as possible!

Once again we are looking for new developers to join the modification team to ensure we bring Faceless, a Greenlit Standalone Source project closer and closer to its beta release and eventual full-game release.

Right now, these are the positions we are looking to fill, if anybody wants to apply for these positions, please contact us either from the "Send Message" button on the Faceless ModDB/IndieDB page or on the Faceless page on Facebook.

  • Inorganic Modellers - past experience with Source is preferable but not necessary! - (More than one position available.)
  • Texture Artists - (More than one position available.)
  • And as always, any General Programmers and AI Programmers would really boost the development of this project to further develop into the AI of the Being as well as the gamemodes. Again, experience with Source is preferable, but not necessary.

We recently showed an encrypted message on the Facebook page which led to the reveal of the (slightly) new and improved model for The Being.

As for the Beta, there is yet no release date and nor will there be until it is ready. However, we'd like to say exactly what the beta will include, and what our plans are for it also. The full-game is a massive project to undertake and the beta will include some of that, we will be releasing 2 game-modes alongside 2 full maps for them and 2 short maps.

The "full" maps are your standard full-game maps, and your short ones are for when you feel like playing a short game that doesn't last as long. The single player Prologue; North Rising will also come with the beta, in which you play Elijah Gray to search for Daniel North. This prologue is a short introduction into the back-story and any further story will only be heard through Daniel's digital voice recordings and the other single player chapter; Purgatory, which is the epilogue to Daniel North's story, the epilogue won't be in the beta. For those who have donated, they will receive a key on Steam to pre-load the Beta for Faceless when the time comes and they will have one guest pass for a friend. There have been questions as to if anybody else can still donate for the beta and the answer is no. If, however, a lot of interest is shown to have a final chance to donate for the beta then we may consider doing that closer to the launch of the beta.

Once again, we appreciate your ongoing support and we hope to progress further and further into development as time goes on, we'd also love to constantly update everybody with information but we'd like to condense and save our progress for when the time is right.

Its not a bad thing. Consider a demonic monster that is the Slenderman. He is faceless and it never changes and he is unrelenting, much like stone in and of itself. Also, the texture is a new view on Slender, and in and of its self is refreshing to see a change of pace

And remember that he has shoulders too.

Quality-wise, your Slenderman model is by-far the best on terms of texture and shape. But what I've seen of animation, it's no better than the rest.

I'd like to see that change. =)

I may have misinterpreted your comment, but I just wanted to clarify in case: This isn't the pose for how The Being will be (if I remember right they're actually gonna have him move) This is the standard 'T' pose most models are in when they're being shown off, because it adequately shows majority of the model's details, however yes they are aware they have shoulders

"The Being"'s face and hands should have a bit more white as he just looks grey on that model and the things coming out from behind him look like some kinda ****** up razor blade or something, if possible they should be made squiggly and not straight although I don't know how difficult that is in the source engine.

Dude,this is a T-pose model,a model without any animation should look like this,that's why it's straight.You didn't even see the animation working,and then you start to come up with this premature conclusion
