Good afternoon everyone,
I have finally had the time to create a patch 1/2 compatible ISO file. (Apply patch 1 before patch 2). As the steam version was distributed with patch 3 applied straight away, you need to use the image and your steam files to allow for downgrading. As you know, patch 3 destroys all modability of the game, rendering Human Resistance files useless.
The Mediafire link is as follows for the file:
Have fun!
Try Mediafire. Its free for the first few Gigs or so.
Thanks for the heads up. The first 10GB is free there. I will migrate the ISO before the trial ends.
what files do I need to download here?
All the UAW folder contents. Use a Winrar to assemble the file and a virtual drive software to mount it.
How's does one do this properly without messing up?
quick question: where did you put the crack file? because i am having some trouble getting the game to run. I did the whole mount thing and I used winrar to extract the files.
It does not have a crack. It is just an original DVD image.
then how do i run the game? because it keeps telling me to insert the dvd in?
Did you install a virtual drive software like Daemon Tools?
got it working.
There is also a useful method to enable the Steam version to work with the mod. This is in courtesy of Vigilante2020 who pioneered it:
I found the unpatched CD version of the game from a download
When I engaged the Launch.exe it would bring up the CD launch menu
Since I didn't have any CD or CD player for the files to read it would say error
So I removed the Launch.exe and replaced it with the Launch.exe from the Steam version.
Given the difference in file size I'm guessing that the Steam launcher was reading all the files without data from any physical CD
And after I did that, UAW would launch normally
Then I just had to download and install patches 1 and 2
I can't understand it. I moved all the files and unpacked everything from the ISO file and moved it to the game folder (even entered the serial key when I installed the game) and still gives me an error.
