DONE - 2,300 images deleted, 500 recovered
Its a sad day losing this much data but thankfully much of it was recovered. Thanks for your efforts

As I'm sure many have noticed, alot of images in the Mod Database, in mod galleries and profiles are missing. This is because following our downtime 2 weeks ago, we were only able to recover a backup which was 2 months old.
We have tried our hardest to recover these images but it has been in vain. Therefore in 3 days time on the 20th of this month, all images which have not been recovered and re-uploaded will have to be deleted :(
So please, mod leaders fix up your mods image gallery, or the dead images will be deleted.
Rest assured this will NEVER happen again as I now make daily backups of the mod database! Oh and the staff will be patching up images in other parts of the site such as in game profiles etc.
If you see any images in game profiles and the like (not mods or users) which are missing, then let us know so we can fix them.

Thanks, we also need to fix all the feature images. I am going to try and find cached versions.

It could have been worse. Thank god our database backup was only like 2 hours old ;)
Heh heh, I know what you mean. My site was hacked once and I only had a backup of 4 days ago. I didn't have to replace the database, thank God, so it was tolerable, to say the most. I still lost a lot, though.

manage your gallery images and delete the ones not showing up on your own and reload them :)

I wouldn't worry about this. It's tonnes better than what could have been lost, and since the service is free, no one can really complain at all. Cheers guys.
At least a valuable lesson was learned :)
The last time I backed up data was about 5 years ago, this is making me paranoid.
I better do a backup, or ph34r the wrath of lost data (dun dun DUUUNNNN!!!! evil music) if I get another "click of death".
On my country a skycrapper just burn, haha.

Ah well, least the DB was backed up properly :) Took me a while to reupload all 60 images to my mods gallery .. Lesson learn now anyways , for all of us.

Can The Screen-Shots Returned?
Its frustrating for all the mod teams i know. It is a lesson learned and now i get a daily backup, which i will be cutting to a DVD. So unless this server dies, my PC crashes and that DVD gets burnt.. we should always have a fairly new backup on hand :D
No Worries man, I got all my screens back plus the ones I couldn't find I got better updated ones. :P
