What is Medal of Honor: Airborne Redux?
It's an enhancement and gameplay overhaul mod that attempts to fix the jank that plagues this underrated WWII FPS from 2007, such as the low FOV and awkward leaning/walking controls. In addition, it rebalances the Campaign difficulty to play more like a hardcore tactical shooter instead of a casual console COD clone. One shot from any rifle out of cover and you're through - on Expert. The difficulties have been thoroughly tested so players of any skill level can see Der Flakturm fall without fear of aimbotting, bullet sponge AI with inhuman reaction times.
I have always felt that there was a true masterpiece hidden underneath the exterior of this flawed game, and I hope that with the release of this mod that the public's perception of Medal of Honor: Airborne finally changes.

It's too bad we haven't cracked a way to make custom levels in this game, I would kill to see a modding community rise out of this game making tons of custom missions and campaigns.

I´m so glad you did this.
For me this was an awesome Game. The Atmosphere is just perfect.
But what killed it for me was the low FOV. I managed to fix this via PCGW and ini configs. But now on my new monitor it somehow refuses to work for whatever reason.
So a constant FOV like in your mod to me is just the thing i needed.
Am I the only one who enjoyed the leaning mechanics?
The leaning mechanics were interesting for their time, especially considering how most console ports of PC FPS games removed them. However, on a mouse and keyboard they feel very awkward and unwieldy compared to the standard Q and E key leaning that MOHAA and MOHPA used. They also expose too much of your body due to the lack of analog sensitivity.
This mod reworks leaning so that walking is default and holding Shift activates leaning. It also leans about half the distance that the vanilla game did to compensate for the lack of analog sensitivity. I assure you, if you play Medal of Honor: Airborne Redux, you will never look at this game's mechanics the same way ever again.

MOHA and Far Cry 2 are the two best FPS games for me, will try the mod for the next replay.

Thing is, my wife occupied the desktop PC to play her RTS stuff, so I was forced to buy another one and plug it into TV... And the only way is to play with gamepad -- obviously not an option for a good old FPS games we're talking about. But maybe one day...

I don't see why this mod wouldn't work on the Russian version. I've already had some Russian users play this mod. Only problem is that the UI strings are only for the "INT" folder that comes with the retail CD, so there won't be any localized text and it'll still mention regenerating health and stuff.
If you mean you want to reupload this mod onto one of those Russian sites, then you don't have my permission to do that.
Why download it if it only attempts to fix it and does not really fix it?

great work on the mod! is there a way to switch to hold-to-aim? don't really like the toggle aim style
(also, do you know of a way to disable the momentum? like when you stop pressing forward the character keeps walking a little by default)
For hold, find the line in MOHAInput.ini:
Bindings=(Name="Ironsights",Command="Toggle bAim")
Change it to
Bindings=(Name="Ironsights",Command="Button bAim")
I don't think it's possible ot disable the momentum.
