Really cool game!
Though, I was a bit confused at first with the options, because I've always edited the 2nd player controls and was wondering why it didn't work.

The mars.exe does nothing.
Shows up in the process-tab, but nothing happens.
I tried running it as administrator, too.
I even tried installing it to a different directory.

:(

Same here. It'll even let you execute it multiple times. When it wouldn't load, I thought I didn't double-click so highlighted the icon and pressed Enter instead. Checked running processes and found mars.exe *32 running twice. Clicked a couple more times for good measure and wound up with five of them. Killed each, tried again as administrator and got nothing.

Windows 7 x64 edition here. 8GB RAM, 2GB ATi 5870. Any suggestions?

Hi there, sounds like you became victims of the evil ati-bug!
There's a work-around on our homepage:

mars-game.sourceforge.net/?p=768

(ughh... I'm not allowed to post links... just copy&paste it^^)

Hope this helps!

The Windows DL seems to be broken (Page not found).

Btw, can the game be played as Hotseat?

Hotseat? You mean simultaneous hotseat? Yes it can, it's a game for two players.
