The animations seem a little slow and stiff and the particles of the smoke could use work, but for a pre-alpha, it's great. The art and design of the game so far looks really sick!

great character design and model but the walk cycle and some other animations looks pretty stiff for the most part. One thing that bothered me was how static the dress was. I'm not sure how your rig is set up but one thing that may help is to add more joints to the dress to get more movement happening down there.

The dress has always sort of been an issue for animating. It's a layered dress so having it move realistically without any overlapping proved to be quite a challenge.
We will be working and polishing the animations throughout the development cycle. This is by no means the final product :) Tessie is a pretty slow gal however, so her animations will seem somewhat slower compared to characters you normally play as.
Looks like a great model and texture, but the video doesn't show it. The extremely fast panning that occurs as you pace the tiny test arena was starting to make me sick; I think you would be greatly served by a larger map requiring less aggressive maneuvering. Knocking that motion blur effect down a few notches wouldn't hurt, either. Otherwise, keep it up!
I really love the art style of this game. A great demo. I thought her animation fit her body type very well. I'm interested to find out what sorts of things that broom is capable of. =]
