Well my my hasn't it been a long time since our last “official” press release which came at a very exciting time in early July when things were moving forward nicely. Since then for those of you who aren't keeping up we've had some exciting new models in the form of the M10 Wolverine, M26 Pershing, The KingTiger and of course the British Parachute Regiment courtesy of one of our latest signings Nights2006.
So what have we been doing for the last 7 weeks besides buggering off on holiday and sipping cocktails on the beach? The answer of course is working as hard as ever. This month I am delighted to show off some environmental work by Nights2006 displaying the all too often forgotten side of modding and introducing Bessie The Cow! We have some very special plans for this young bovine that for now we'll be keeping under wraps.
Secondly and continuing along our theme of the unsung heroes of our team is our general 2d artist and menu developer Der Landser, who joins us from the very popular German Front mod of COD and COD2 fame. I'm sure you will all agree he's giving the DH interface a much needed slice of individuality in the menu department.
Lastly as promised in the previous official update we are very proud to be showing off two of our gun models in game and fully functional. The first of these, the M1 Garand, appeared in November last year (my very first project for DH I recall) and don't worry it does indeed go PING!!!! very loudly when you fire off that last bullet. The second weapon is our Thompson SMG that has become a firm favourite particularly amongst our testers.
So until the next update which I hope to bring you much sooner than before enjoy the screenshots and as always feel free to ask questions.
too sad that i got kicked out from the tester-team. although I delivered more bug-reports than most of the others. And tried to appear on the weekly testsession at the crappiest time you can imagine: 21:00 Saturdays (party-time)
who are you...do you use that name on the DH forums? pm me there and i'll look into your story, we usually only kick people who don't pull their weight i.e. don't show up for a single test in a month
