Time for a little victory dance, because Yixx has finally fixed the mod to work with the WarCraft III patch version 1.24. It has been months since 1.24 was released by Blizzard Entertainment and it caused Wc3:WoW to crash. Plus, the way our triggers were setup were really unorganized and trashy. We had a mixture of GUI triggers and JASS triggers and in some cases this can cause errors within the error and probably in-game too. So, from now on, we're not using GUI triggers ever again.
In a way, 1.24 was both a crisis and godsend for us. A crisis because it set us even further behind development and losing pretty much all triggers, but a godsend because it forced us with an initiative to clean up, organize, and recode everything in Wc3:WoW in a more seamless and functional way. We've got a lot of big ideas for Wc3:WoW now and the bright side is that we didn't lose the terrain or imported files. Thank god! Although, the reality of the matter is to thank Yixx. Without him, this mod probably would have died permanently a bit after 1.24 came along. He definitely helped pull the project up again and is still doing an amazing job.
Anyway, what now? Terrain progress! Tonight I'll be downloading the fixed version of the campaign and will continue working on Orgrimmar and pushing for the finish. I found an old CD with WoW screenshots and all the Orgrimmar screenshots I'll probably need. Go me! Problem is that it has a virus. So I might be working on scanning my PC and all that when I put it all on my PC tonight, so don't expect any visuals for about a week or so... probably less. Will try to stay on top of development progress as much as possible!
PS: Thanks a ton for the votes and watches! I'm really surprised we're getting votes despite the fact 2.0 isn't even playable yet. Your generosity and support is very appreciated and motivating for us!
Congratulations.
Thanks!
GratZ! keep up the good work!
looking forward for next release =D
Thanks a lot!
The next release might not be soon enough though.
Can't wait to play guys
Right now there's not enough triggers to make it playable in the sense we want it to be. Still need to create the third person camera system, including the adjustable camera. Also need to add keyboard movement, add floating names, pre-create Player-Bots, and more... keep an eye out for more news updates regarding progress.
Keep the progress coming!!
COOOL, nice working!!! aah god! it so close!!! YEAH KEBORD WALKING YIPPYY!
