The skies above the Black Sea Refinery in the southern hills of the Ukraine erupted in a firestorm earlier today, as the [BOS] attempted to capture the abandoned facility, while the [CRE] fought back for dominance of the precious oil reserves that remained intact. Both sides of the Conflict armed themselves with heavy aerial firepower, as the terrain has little room for ground vehicles between the two factions. Talon and Doragon gunships alike screamed above the smoke-enriched battlefield riddling each other with bullets and releasing nerve-wracking missiles upon the enemy craft. Pilots rolled into evasive maneuvers as tracer fire lit the sun-bleached day. With such an enormous quantity of aircraft dominating the combat zone, Vanguard AAA tanks were deployed to the region, and performed as fantastically as well as the gunships. By the end of the day, amongst the wrecked hulks of twisted metal that had fallen to the earth, it was the [CRE] flag that flew above the Refinery today.
Meanwhile, far east of the Refinery, a [CRE] special operational division pushed into the streets of Karkand, in order to establish a base of operations on the outskirts of the [BOS] control zone. Base shields were promptly erected to provide this base of operations. However, the insertion into the region did not go unnoticed, the [BOS] set-up urban defenses in the city to repel the [CRE]. All did go as planned, however, as the [CRE] managed to bleed the [BOS] out of their positions with tactical use of a [GCSI] StealthCat IFAV they had managed to airlift to their position. This IFAV managed to maneuver troops behind enemy lines exploiting the defense lines of the [BOS].
The [GCSI] also made an appearance, albeit in more ways than one. While standing side-by-side with the [CRE] at the Refinery, the mercenary group lived to their title, fighting alongside the [BOS] at Karkand. Once again, this goes to show, that no matter where loyalties lie in words, money will always be the true loyalty to a mercenary.
With the [BOS] struck with a defeat, will the [CRE] continue their counter-attack or will [BOS] maintain a defense line and push to the offensive. With oil supplies in [CRE] hands, the [BOS] armor division will have a difficult time keeping their armor running. However, oil is not the only commodity of interest in this realm of war, and battle will certainly come to other areas where supplies are stripped for use. This Conflict is far from being over, both Generals are finalizing their next attack plan, and perhaps General Lonestar will outsmart General Snipe in the next battle of wits, machinery, and lives.
