This is just a follow up for my recent news post.
I've started full time work on the mod again and am expecting to make a lot of progress this month. I've started posting the current progress and changes at my home forum on Revora. You can get detailed news there. Forums.revora.net
In the near Future Capt Drake will be posting more videos for you're enjoyment. I think Robot General is probably the next up.
Thanks to everyone for all of the support in the Mod of the Year voting. Positive community feedback keeps mod work alive, not just for my mod, but all Modders in general. We like to hear good things.
will skynet actually become self-aware? and also, what happens then?
when I first started working on it I planned to include that 2% chance. It is still in the plans, but it was taking too long so I cut it from the current release. I probably won't have it in the next release either, but it is still in the plans.
When it does go self aware it will leave your faction, join it's own and declare war on you. You will not survive. Imagine an Insane AI starting it's own base right in the middle of yours.
what about "judgement day" nuclear-BOOM? but ok, great mod but want more
Judgement day was going to appear as a countdown timer. When it expired the whole map would get coated in Nukes falling randomly every couple seconds until every player was dead (except skynet, obviously).
But for now it's just a plan. I've got a lot of other work to do before I start including silly random events like that.
