Abeyance is the final entry into the trilogy of mods, the two previous ones called HTC and Autonomy Lost, featuring the protagonist Jane Doe and her final push to get free of the G-Man's grasp.
Abeyance is a rather surreal experience as you're stuck in some sort of limbo. After barely escaping the G-Man you wake up back in your apartment but something is off. Very off.
Abeyance is confined into one single map. As a result the experience is rather brief and can be finished in one short sitting. While it could be expanded I thought I'd rather challenge myself to see how much stuff I could put into one map before J.A.C.K. told me to buzz off.
All in all, Abeyance was pretty fun to work on. Hell, the entire trilogy were fun to work on. While it would be sweet to make more Half-Life maps I think that's enough for now. I feel kinda burned out at the moment. But never say never... the return of Jane Doe perhaps?
