Hello!
I've released 1.3. Until now, I did not really care about my 'marketing', but I intend to create new screenshots and videos of the mod. If you want to, feel free to create anything.
Now you can play Novgorod, the gem of the north. It will be interesting, for you are a vassal of Kiev and you are pretty much cordoned off from every opportunity of land expansion expect of the lands of the Finnish tribes.
Georgia is also playable now. I think that can be quite challenging too. How will you defeat the Turks? I would suggest expanding quickly northward before Kiev takes the region, so you can get the Kipchaks and more towns to have a chance against whichever empire you will fight first.
Please note there are known issues with 1.3, but they only affect main menu and not game breaking. Thanks!
Is there a hotseat campaign?
It is possible to do one.
Awesome, thank you.
It keeps crashing whenever I try to launch the bat.
Are you using steam? If you followed the steam solution then you have to launch the game withtin steam.
I do not use steam, I have the disk.
Are you using win10? " IF YOU HAVE WINDOWS 10, set medieval2.exe to windows 8 compatibility mode!"
Please tell me specifically the case.
I do have windows 10, I'll change the compatibility now.
It is still not working after doing that
Please write me a message with the specific details.
So, I have M2TW installed on my D drive, I have this mod installed in the folder in the D drive, when I double click the desktop nothing happens and when I open the bat file it pops open and then crashes immediately. I set medieval2.exe to Windows 8 compatible but it still does not work. I've tried reinstalling it a couple times but that didn't work either.
Is the game on 1.3 version?
Twcenter.net
It is 1.1
But kingdoms is 1.3
Never mind, since I have kingdoms that means my M2TW is already 1.3. So do I need 1.5?
Try installing 1.5., but I think something else might be the problem. it is hard to help knowing so little.
Please write me a private message on this site, to continue this discussion further.
Marchee, I have steam so I went through your Readme file and have some doubts. There is no original 'medieval2.preference' file in (...\Steam\steamapps\common\Medieval II Total War) and no files were found when I ran the .bat file. What is going on?
If you did not run the game prior installing my mod, there might not be a preference file, just put it in there and set to read only.
For the .bat, you just have to put it into the main folder and run it. Check manually for these files, if they really do not exist then it's fine, if they do exist delete them by hand. If these don't work then it is possible that you did not install the game to the right folder.
