Alright, So I know the Beta is buggy, bad... after all, it WAS kinda a BETA... but I am already working on a patch for some of the bugs ppl are having problems with.. that said, post your problems, and if its a crash, you crashlog in COMMENTS so I can see them. That way, I can work on the bugs and stuff, while the other team members do their thing.

Also, post your suggestions a comment in this news topic, NOT ON THE MAIN MODPAGE, it's annoying, lol, and look though the other topics, so you dont ask a question or say a suggestion that has already been attended to. Anyway, Thanks for Playing! (Hope You People kinda like it)

ALSO! I WANT TO KNOW IF MY MAPS ARE ANY GOOD!!!!!!!!

for some reason the copy I DLed of the bea didn't have custom maps.

Whenever I start the game now, it crashes saying that there was "a serious error"

okay.. i really shouldve done this a long time ago, but to run this you need: patch 1.04, DirectX9, and if you are running The First Decade, the map pack needs to be in your default ZH folder... The installer is NOT FOR MAC!

Hmmm it needs more Dinosaurs (Just Kidding)
But other than that it needs to be polished and probably remove or balance the AI's use of the ODST and probably improving the Covenant AI (they don't do anything)

the game crashes when you attack with the pelicans because the rockets won't fire i think its the game thinking its giving the game a false code so it crashes so look into it some more oh and by the way i think i will try to see what is happening

oh yeah and the odst drops only kills units if they end up landing on a building or on a spot where part of it is, but also the building odst drops you can't control they are just ai that protect the building and die every odst drop that comes

the missiles for the pelican have part for it and also when vehicles shoot out of the pelican the game crashes
easy ai and hard and medium works in the campaign

ok found the ai problem ai not made for the new buildings and units and etc game crashes when cinimatics run when playing

and ai other than hard ai isn't written in the ai data file in the big file

THE BIG PROBLEM IS FOUND no one put the skill sets in it just told it what to build and it comes down to only hard ai is made and they didn't do it for the other ais and one more thing...

the hard artificial intelligence just continuously builds buildings and make units which makes it lag and another thing the game freezes every few seconds due to the lag of too much money being generated from the buildings on every map and if i may show you the tests i did permission needed from mechgt5 must let me first, but in the meantime the scarb is not a scarb its an overlord tank with a fire port fire not actually firing its the model fire port showing and the scarb weapon doesn't do anything no damage or anything when it fires the aa/ag weapon fires and does damage.

ok well i still haven't gotten a list of unit names and bios so i can't begin on the pictures and stuff so in the meantime keep giving us feedback and bug reports and heres some more bug reports the odst drops actually drop 1 snipers and 5 - 6 odsts with 1 sniper always unless he dies on impact of a spot with a building or area thats part of a building and they get damaged sometimes so just send them to the barracks or have a medic warthog heal them, but the covenant grunts come out of the barracks in groups of 6 and the builders coming in a group of 4, but whats wrong with these units the grunts always move side to side no moment of anything they always have their arms out and their legs the same they just slide around and any grunt does the hunters jackals brutes come out as rpg troopers, but the elites actually are elites but the elites actually throw grenades backwards and any units with grenades throws them backwards and the wraith spectre shadow and ghost are all ok and the shadow comes with 5 units elites the 5 i got when i tested was 4 plasma rifles and 1 needler elite and the arbiter is jarmen kell with a obital plasma boabardment drop special and an unlimited ammo rapid firing plasma rifle

the long range scorpion tank can't be picked up by pelicans or anything all of the units are real none are not halo but a problem is no backseat gunner for the mongoose atv the back seat is the gunner front is driver but on the mod the driver's gun fires 360 underneath the mongoose atv and can't be taken out of the mongoose the buttons on the main menu don't have a sound the music is very quite and the covenant airfield has a glitch the first sherphf after its made when you attack something the plasma justs going in a half a circle and is a 2 b2s away from the sherphf and when that ones comes back it glitches and just flies in a complete circle forever and it can't do anything but the other 3 after are fine the unsc airfield is totally fine, but the scarab/ overlord has a capture button and it can't capture. thats all the bugs

It was a very good for a beta but the Nuke for the unsc plus the pelican rockets didnt work. For the Cov the plasma grenades are like mines i'm not sure if thats what its meant to be. I would reccomend addin a thing for the odst on the pelican like the ranger drop on the chinook all in all a good beta.

It was an excellent beta. It has some bugs but that's what betas are for keep up the good work! looking forward to a polished version. only real bugs are the pelican rockets and the UNSC nuke don't work. The engineer appears to be an overlord tank and the arbiter is jarmen kell. but like it states it is a beta! good luck

unsc nuke does work but it glitches sometimes i know i tried it 8 times to check for a bug the 1 one worked then stopped working then next it randomly worked, but stopped and etc. etc. etc.

oh and i found out what causes the serious error there are a few reasons

1.modifying any file of the mod.
2.if you try to use world builder with it since it seems it doesn't have world builder compatibility so it makes 3 error messages show and 1 of them says the voice.ini has a tab character tab characters are not allowed in the voice.ini.
3. you either have another big mod or your zhini.big is modified in anyway.
4. you have modified the files with files from another mod or game.
5. you have a virus that won't allow you to open it because its eating away at your computer infecting it.
6.unsupported video cards, drivers etc.
7. if its not one of these then its your problem.

I dont have a maps folder for TFD where do i put the maps in the map pack?

lol thats easy to answer because tdf = the first decade if you don't have a maps folder for it.
1. its not installed.
2. its been deleted by accident or by something random.
3. your looking in the wrong folder.
4. you don't have it.
5. if you have c&c generals zero hour then its already installed when you install the mod.
6. you have already installed c&c generals zero hour, but not from the first decade disc.
7. if that it is not one of these than find it yourself. Because you can either install it in the normal c&c g: zh maps folder or try to find a tdf maps folder that actually just makes the normal c&c g: zh maps folder.
8. if you still can't find it then your stupid for not being able to find something thats there.

lol dam commander, youve been workin, lol... but yea, i sabotaged the mod b/c you can see things with world builder that arent in the mod yet :D... the reason the campaign crashes is because, the AI is being told to build a scorpion tank (GLA) but all it can find is the Spectre ,etc.... it has no Campaign! well it works... kinda for a little while... and the game crashes arent caused by anything with the pelican, or any of the units... the game code is being pushed too far with the amount of particle effects DirectX7 can handle (yes 7... the game was built on it, it uses it) same thing is happening with some of the units effects being stuck in midair... its the engine, not the mod

Ok this says feed back and the sorts. Just wanted the makers of this mod know this, YOU GUYS ARE AWSOME!!!!!!! HONESTLY. Me and my friend had a blast going multy player on this. Yes it not done yes its just a beta BUT Its still as fun as heck. Thumbs up to you guys.
