Everything you need to play the mod in one complete package. Unpack and run included BAT file ('Wolfenstein3DGE.bat'). Comes bundled with EDGE 1.35 Final and a Freedoom IWAD.
You will probably want to rebind your keys and you may want to tinker around with the sound and video options. See included CREDITS.TXT for list of credits.
Notable changes since 1.0:
End level delay increased
Variable ceiling colors re-implemented (code somehow got lost between versions)
Enemy AI tweaked (mostly related to "patrolling" behaviour)
Completing secret levels grants a 15 000 bonus
New HUD overlay in two variations in addition to the status bar
DM frag counter for HUD & status bar (for the sake of completion)
Player weapon damage was a little off
Updated Barnacle Wilhelm sprites
Bosses showing up with -NOMONSTERS parameter fixed
Cleaned up the "victory" graphic
A couple of SoD maps displayed wrong floor
DOOM doors finally replaced with horizontally sliding doors!
Score cap decreased from 999999999 (nine digits) to a more realistic 9999999 (seven digits)
Smoothing issue fixed (yuck!)
Locked door texture now unique for each type (gold and silver)
CREDITS.TXT updated
Just played a few levels, amazing work! But how do I drop the player's momentum? I tried to tweak gravitation with no effect. It's kinda hard to play Wolfenstein like this, it feels like I'm moving on a shopping cart.. I hope it can be done cuz this looks too good!
This is a DOOM mod, it is just the way the player moves. And it can not really be changed in this engine. The only thing you could do is possibly reduce the player speed (setting it to 1 or lower). But that kind of goes against what Wolf3D is all about. If you want a more faithful experience, you could check out ECWolf Maniacsvault.net and this HD patch Forum.zdoom.org
That's a pity.. I only wanted the effect reduced a bit like 50%.. Maybe I'll get used to it :P
I checked DEBUG.TXT in the game files, however, I was unable to see any additional cheat codes :( . All I am after is a noclipping cheat because,
while playing the game sometimes (only a few occasions) secret walls will not open, you can hear the clunk sound indicating that the wall is about to open, but it just stays firmly closed and stays that way. Stuffs up a few maps unfortunately and detracts from enjoyable gameplay.
I have just found the debug.txt that you were referring to and the cheat codes, cheers
Type GOOBERS during gameplay to toggle no-clipping mode, it's listed in DEBUG.TXT. As for the secret wall issues, it's a problem I'm aware of but unfortunaly do not know how to fix.
This is a blast!!
IDK if anyone is currently working on this, but I think some of the walls in the Aardwolf Maze are bugged. I had a few of them start to move then freeze in place. I'll get the exact walls if that helps.
Does anyone got the music or midi files for this mod?
