Modern Warfare Mod 3 brings World in Conflict from the Cold War into the Modern Age. It also ups the ante on realism and authenticity in every role – Infantry, Armor, Support and Air, while trying our best to keep everything relatively balanced for fun and interesting gameplay.
For those of you who are not aware of camerafreedom, it's recommended that you use it. Open the attached zip file and unpack the 'wicautoexec.txt' file into: My Documents\World in Conflict\ directory path. You'll now be able to freely use your camera at any direction or height.
By default, World in Conflict locks the camera into small confines and uses a fishbowl style in its field of view.
The following commands inside the attached wicautoexec.txt will do the following:
camerafreedom:
Allows you to freely roam and move around your camera in the world. Very critical when playing MW Mod.
camerahighfov 79:
Places the depth of field to a more realistic value. Makes it lot easier to spot missile launches in MW Mod.
Will This Work on MW3 mod? (Not MW3.1)
This will even work without the mod. There are basic console commands which are featured in the game, so yes, it will work.
Yep, this is not a mod feature -- but rather WiC's built in feature.
They are recommended especially when playing the mod, because the depth of gameplay has changed substantially. Restricted camera angles and depth of field really limits your ability to react in a fast paced game.
Depth of field or Field of view? :o
