The wait is finally over! After 10 long years, the mod reaches its final version. Say hello to Age of Empires III: Wars of Liberty. This is a free fan-made modification for Age of Empires III and requires both expansions to work. Wars of Liberty is an update of our previous mod, War of the Triple Alliance. All contents from WotTA can be found in WoL.
In WoL's timeline, the American colonies have revolted and gained their independence. The Natives have resisted the colonization and formed their own nations. The Asians became powerful economic allies, but couldn't be conquered. There was one spot on Earth, however, that was ignored for a long time... We're at the XIX century and all empires have focused their attention on this long forgotten, but now desirable, region... Africa!

Yes, but its not very playable or fun
Use the manual download found on their site, link to the links are on the main download thread. Get all the parts, extract them in the same place
Take the contents of the WoL folder, that contains folders that you'd find in your AoE3 folder, and then merge them into your AOE3 folder. Start AOE3 using the AOE3 executable
You'll be able to play with several of the new nations. Try to enjoy :P
Im hoping that since the WoL team has discovered a way of not needing the throne room, they wont require the launcher program again
It was near unplayable for me since im on dial up and have mods downloaded for me outside of my home.
wheres the download, Im excited to try it out!
Alright I did some lookin folks, if you are just getting to this page this should at least clear up the no download link
Apparently something went wrong when they were compiling the mod and it rendered it unplayable so they are attempting to fix it but they had to take down the download link until the issue is resolved
they should at least say somethin here
