We implement the J-8 as a cheap fodder aircraft to suit the stereotype of China in C&C Generals better.
At $800 it can be built en masse but it's surely not a match against Raptor in any aspect.
And personally I think J-8 fits the style better when you are fielding something like Type 59s(Battlemasters)...The Russia-orientated MiG 1.44 is going be refitted with more badass weaponry like nukes I think.
That's hilarious.
