You wake up not knowing where you are. You are determined to find out where you are and what happened. This is my first custom story. I didn't do much when it comes to story, but my main focus was the horror element. Hope you like it! Justine Required! It had a more or less decent story, although there really wasn't until the final-but there were a lot of mapping errors, which didn't help to it.
Otherwise, the scripting was ok, I didn't suffer any bug as I usually do. It was ok worth your time, but not the best.
Very good for being your first, though! Keep it!
You have a decent level design but it lacks details and creativity. You have a low variation of quests and very low variation of scares. In short, the story is not coherent or understandable and honestly pretty boring in lenght. You do a have a working monster navigation though and the atmosphere is often really scary!
Some things that got my attention:
The fireplace quest is creative, but the waterbucket is randomly placed with no sense what so ever and you can lit the fire again once you have used the water on the fireplace with a tinderbox.
Alot of things, like the books in the library and alot of the dead bodies are "flying in the air". They are not connected to any surfaces.
The keys don't have any descriptions or names. They should have, even though it's very obivious where they lead to.
Areas are not well connected with each others. First it's a cellar, then a prison section, then a random... treasure area or what ever it was, then a prison section again, then randomly a cistern with a mansion area, then... you get the point.
The ending was lame and seems rushed. And was honestly not understandable.
Conclusion:
You have potential to become a talented level designer, but alot of training is needed.
