This mod is not monetised. I will not be doing any paid mods nor set up a patreon. This is not an official GW licensed product. I will also not pull the mod, and will keep it on the net since any takedowns would be without merit. This mod aims at modifying Dawn of War 2 Retribution to portray combat in a more lore-accurate manner. Prepare to find Space Marines as powerful as the books depict them, ork hordes in their hundreds, and dozens of Guard tanks shelling into an incoming tyranid horde!
Broadside battlesuits in action. No Tau unit can match the damage output of their double railguns and double plasma missile launchers. They have medium health, but are vulnerable to melee.
Also please check the news and have you say about turrets.
I think I just cried a little when I saw this. It's magnificent! :'D
They are extremely powerful, but also fragile alone. Though the whole glass cannon theme is something the whole Tau Faction has, this unit amplifies it.
It has 2 plasma missile launchers and 2 AOE railguns, comparable in damage to a Predator Annihilator, Leman Russ, Mortis Dreadnought or a Land Raider. Only a Baneblade can pour out more damage.
I will up their health a little to be in line with Nobs. Even with that, they should be carefully protected, since they are a single unit squads.
They can pour out damage like few other units, but they are quick to fall to concentrated anti tank fire.
YESS
Excellent!
I love your mod.
I didn't play it a while, but, are you planning to give the "Death Korps" better stats and a graphical improvement?
Thanks for your effort!
I can not do models, I just take what others are willing to share.
Krieg IG has a lasgun that fires twice as hard, but twice as slow than the Cadians. Otherwise they got the same stats.
Grenadiers do more damage but at shorter range than Karskin I think.
They also are immune to supression, but walk slower.
Their slowness and weaker health is necessary to balance out their unsuppressible masses or they could just swarm everything without any way to stop them.
Thanks man, but can't you just use the Krieg DLC for the look?
Or would that be too complicated?
Cheers
