Varion is a mod set in the future with hi-tech weapons. The mod is aimed at creating a fresh new appeal to the HL2 engine.
Just a mini update again about the mod. News about mapping, coding, modelling and extras.

Welcome to Varion Mini Update:
Coding has blowen threw the roof since we got our incredible new coder "Afan" we now have in-game mp3 working. Also got our new entitys info_player_horde and info_player_breakers aswell as all weapon entitys in-game working. We now have our first gametype "Bounty" finished it is a deathmatch themed gametype but you gain money for kills if you die you loose your money and it is given to other play you can see what happens next :p the player with most money at the end wins. We have also got a progress bar for health but a bit buggy atm. Thirdperson animations are fixed only a few issues remain now. Currently working on vgui such as the team menus.
Mapping is really picking up some pace i currently am mapping a beutiful new map called vn_temple a map which is really nice based on aztec styled with futuristic this map is indoor and out door map. We are currently filling up the other maps with new decals, props and lighting to make them look nicer also maybe including hdr and colour correlation.
Nilghai is modelling his brand new futuristic melee weapon almost finished the animations now looks really nice will get pics up soon. We also got our new playermodel which is currently in the shaded process almost ready for skinning just needs abit more detail adding to it. Props are getting created for all maps now that i have learnt 3ds max i can finally make props aswell.
We currently have finally got our svn set up after along time of messing around. We got a few other things latly such as playtesting the mod but as no one has been applying we only had about 6 people on the server we had a great time playing the mod found some bugs which are getting fixed now.
