Uplink: Deep Blue offers a moderately polished game interface (true to the classic original), an enhanced and expanded selection of gateway computers, added variety of names, an extended soundtrack with hours of free module music, plus extra companies with new LAN systems for you to hack.

INTRODUCTION

Uplink: Deep Blue is a fan made noncommercial modification for the hacker game "Uplink" a.k.a. "Uplink Hacker Elite" (2001, by Introversion Software), aimed at giving players a game enhancement true to Uplink's unique original style.

The mod offers a moderately polished classic interface, an enhanced and expanded gateway selection, added variety of names, an extended soundtrack with hours of free module music, plus extra companies with new computer systems to hack.

I hope the result can provide some extra fun for those diehard Uplink fans still playing this wonderful and timeless classic.

REQUIREMENTS & INSTALLATION

• Requires Uplink for Mac (v1.69), Linux (v1.55), or Windows (v1.55). For game information and purchase options, visit "Introversion.co.uk" and "Gog.com".

• Before installation, remove any previous version of this mod.

• To install, copy "install" folder contents to your Uplink game folder, e.g.:

• Mac: "/Applications/GOG Games/Uplink Hacker Elite.app/Contents/Resources/"
• Linux: "~/GOG Games/Uplink Hacker Elite/game/"
• Windows: "C:\GOG Games\Uplink\"

• Installing included LANs on Mac requires additional steps (see "lans.txt").

• After installation, register a new agent to avoid potential conflicts.
