Hey there guys,
After taking nearly a year off to let ideas flow in my mind, and let the mistakes of the past development cycle go away, I've decided to begin development on a new version of Unreal Demolition. Now, for the time being, I'm going to be finishing up the planning and design for the mod, prior to my largescale push for recruitment. However, this is my first formal announcement of the restart of development.
I feel that I can now better manage the mod, being the project lead from the start, rather than overtaking development near the end of the mod like I did with the original UD. With this, I hope I can move the mod to become what it truly should have been.
Now what does this mean for the old version? As development begins, I'm looking to use UT2004 as a platform to test out new gameplay ideas and concepts prior to the beginning of development on UT2007. In this way, I look to bring out at least a few playables for the fans of the UT2004 mod. However, it will likely play a lot tighter than the original.
Anyhow, for the time being, I'm just putting out a general call for any people interested in working on the mod. Also, for any past fans of the mod, if you know of anyone that may be looking for a project to look for, you can send them my way. I can be contacted at "schenksmill at gmail dot com"
