Underground is a Half-Life singleplayer mission. It contains 17 maps and is fully compatible with HL-Steam and HL-Won.
69/10 recommended, the map design looks perfect and down to the last minute details.

Another great mod from ToTac. I really like the underground setting, especially the beginning sections.
Pretty much a perfect Half-life mod, granted no new features, but well designed levels, interesting story, I would give it a 10, but I did have a few quirks with it, like the very odd gargantua placement, you can easily pick him off since he can't even approach you, and a scientist teleporting inside of me at one point, a few quirks but overall a great mod, worth it if you enjoy Half-Life.
While this is not a bad mod, if I had to summarise it in a single word it would be cramped. The opening sections in particular are really terrible in this regard. Every encounter with headcrabs, zombies and barnacles are so close and in such tight spaces that they are impossible to outmanoeuvre. This coupled with the fact that you have no HEV suit for a long time and as a result have no HUD either.
The rest of the mod is well put together and enjoyable to play, but the feeling of being constricted remains throughout, as though the level designer wasn't entirely sure what scale to work to.
I remember this mod, This was another fine mod of the golden age of Half-Life mods and it still holds up after so long.
You simply are going around underground after the events of Half-Life but here is where the creativity really blooms and it does answer a few plot issues in the original game.
Underground easily achieves the rating of 8/10. Well balanced, no problems (except some minor bugs, such as getting stuck in objects, but this is caused by the Half-Life's engine, not your mod!). In general, a good mod!
The only thing that could be considered a negative is that the player doesn't get the HEV suit at the beginning which could be a little confusing. Actually, I read some reviews to make sure I hadn't missed it. But it's nothing that would affect the experience a lot!
Very decent & exciting mod! There are all you want to have in good Black Mesa adventure, maybe except only a final boss :)
