Just because you can't see it doesn't mean it isn't there. This is perhaps the only rule that governs TRU. The Tactical Response Unit is a special force comprised of highly-trained and lethally equipped special-tactics operatives working for an unofficial agency that
specializes in handling situations that are otherwise unsolvable by any single government. Because diplomacy and policy have no play on the actions and decisions made by TRU operatives, they are the most feared and intimidating force of the 21st century.

TRU is known for taking matters into their own hands. For instance, if American policy is preventing the rescue of hostages, the Tactical Response Unit will rise to the challenge. No job is too hard, and with no consequences this force can act as they see fit. Never facing
consequences and never fearing responsibilities of failure is why they are so successful. If they fail, they at least tried. TRU's operatives have no family, have no friends, and have no other life outside of their job; removing regret and second-guessing from the equation entirely.

The year is now 2049. A reoccurring theme consisting of soldiers-for-hire runs rampant across the world today. If a man with enough money likes, he can hire his own mercenary army to do his biddings. If the world's governments ever find themselves in too deep, they sometimes will go so far as to request the assistance of TRU operatives to resolve difficult situations. Why the desire and sometimes need for TRU operatives? Because wars were not meant to have rules…

Today we have our very first media update for you all! Included in this release are two of our Tactical Response Unit weapons, the Standard M4A1A Carbine. We say standard because the special modifications that make it a T.R.U. weapon and not a standard issued military weapon have yet to be added. Also, the Socom (modified). The Socom was modeled by Krypt, and the M4 was modeled by Marcus.

Our first level is also featured. Mapped by AmishThunder, UF_Monorail is about 70% completed. Built in the UO Radiant, it is going to be converted easily to UO and re-textured with the Unbound Forces textures. Pictured in this release is the monorail station itself and a corner-factory which was prefabricated by Janova.

Our explosives model is also completed, originally designed by MBassist and detailed, skinned and UV Mapped by Janova. There is also the Mercenary Light APC which is not yet completed, but is more of a W.I.P than anything else.

Finally, our first draft of concept art for our T.R.U. agent is completed. Drawn by Major Pain, it symbolizes to the best of his abilities what you can envision a T.R.U. operative to look like. He has also begun work on the Mercenary concept art, but unfortunately you will have to wait for our next update for that one!

i dont think those gun are accurate if the year is gonna be 2049 the m4a1 will be replaced by then by the Xm8 World.guns.ru it was supposed to be issued in 2005.might wanna do some more research.it would also look nice if you guys had the RIS interface the m4. and make it a .308 instead of a little .223.its still nice though

In fact we do. Our modification is set in 2049, so all models are brand new.

are you guys making your gun models like totaly from scratch, cause obviously they don't have an M4A1 or that type of pistol in CoD 2.

The idea sounds awesome. I dont like these chrome renders though, I cant see where the detail is on the model. A basic clay render is always good enough for unskinned models. I know ure trying to be a lil different with the rendering style but this really doesn't do the model justice.

Anyways, the mod sounds great. The story seems nicely written and well planned, and not too ambitious because when it comes down to it, we don't know what to expect from IW where modding tools are concerned.

Anyway, you have a nice idea and I just hope your dedicated enough to actually finish the mod, you appear much more organized than some of the other cod2 mods which are cropping up.
