Plot:
There once was a plummer who's name was John Anderson, he lived a horrible life due to his depression and his view on his job. His job as a plummer did not satisfy him. He felt he was worth more than to be fixing people's toilets for a living, the money never brought him happiness...Through the years of doing this, the pain and depression sawed away at his conscious making him think of ways he could take revenge on the society that made him this way. He began to plot about all of the murders that he could commit. He felt this was a way of escaping society as well as his revenge on it... John broke into somebody's house posing as a plummer and killed them in, cold blood... No feeling of regret hindered his mind, he become an addict... He plotted his next murder and decided to pose as a plummer again fixing the pipes in the victim's basement. Thought's start to race through John's mind. Overcome with fear an anxiety he collapses and wakes up in an empty new world. Is this John's true reality...
Idea's and concepts:
Over the years I have been a big fan of frictional games projects. Unbirth was one of the main project of theirs that really caught my attention. I had made such mods as Penumbra Europa and Penumbra II so I was familiar with trying to recreate there old projects. However both mods didn't have a very complex plot, so with Unbirth I have tried to make the plot as interesting as possible. I have also 3d modeled new monsters and imported all textures from the original game to give you a Unbirth feel other than a Soma feel.

I entered a lot of useless doors, now I have a safe in front of me. Where's the combination? The letters are dark, I see nothing. The sky is missing. It's all very messy.
Restarted the game, but Im stuck again.
Very boring.
Look for something to read in one of the rooms. It's possible somebody
may have written down the combination.
It's 2501 I'm not sure why the sky would be missing soma was very glitchy to work with at least for me
You're not funny. I asked a help for the combination for the safe.
I play for about 15 min's and experienced a Screen freeze.
HPL log sent.
No saved Game points so I will have to start over.
try restarting
Restart fixed the problem. The Options Menu was impossible for me to use. Keybinding options are in a black box and not visible on screen.
I'll definitely try this out as I couldn't seem to download the original game. Tracking.
Awesome! I am also modeling the original game enemies from the concept art that is provided on the Unbirth website so hopefully it will be scary :P
Nice idea, but please use Urban SOMA assets. It has higher resolution textures and the models and graphics are better.
Yes I am using urban props from soma, but to have the feel that unbirth gave off I am using textures from unbirth as well as custom enemies that I am modeling as we speak (2 of the enemies are all ready finished and working)
Then please consider creating bump maps, specular maps, etc for the unbirth textures. They look really plain and unrealistic that way.
