What was Tumultus? Tumultus Deathmatch began as an experiment, with the sole aim of producing a comminity made mod. The story was set and anyone could produce anything and learn new things as they went along. This was all well and good, and it almost succeeded too. What is Tumultus? The premise is the same, most of the weapons are the same, with a few new surprises ;) The team has shrunk to a few dedicated members working on this mod alone, and everything is getting an overhaul.

Thats right, we now have Instagib coded into the mod. Unlimited ammo, a slow rate of fire, and one hit kills, playable on any map via a server command. If you were a fan of instagib in UT then you're sure to like this ;) A new weapon model is currently in production, and as soon as its ready, you'll be the first to see it here. For those of you that would like to see the gibbing in action Click here for a short video AVI format, xvid encoded.

You'll also have noticed the player model, being worked on by Jedibrent999. This will be the base template for the upper class, the model will change slightly depending what armour pickups you run over, for example if you run over a helmet, your playermodel will change to show that you are wearing one, this should allow you to determine how well armoured your foes are, adding a slightly more tactical edge to the gameplay.

We've also been hard at work beta testing the mod. Many thanks to struders and his server without which the beta testing would have been a lot slower. I'm pleased to announce that we haven't found any crippling bugs so far, but we have been able to balance out the weapons a little and solve a few minor bugs hear and there. All in all things are progressing well and we're hoping to have a release for you guys real soon :)
