Assume command as the ambitious Hierarchy, the robotic Novus, the mysterious Masari, or the desperate humans in this mod inspired by the game Universe at War by SEGA and Petroglyph. New gameplay mechanics, new units, and an exciting campaign bring the war to life with additional factions to add to the chaos. So what will you do? Conquer, or survive? All models added in this mod are property of SEGA or Petroglyph, used with permission of their respective creators, or were made by the developers of Triumph of the Hierarchy. Permission was recieved from Petroglyph and SEGA prior to the start of work on the mod.

Hierarchy Walker coding at 90%. Space is at a stand still. Galactic Dependent on Space.

So, the mod has been not quite dead, but rather in hibernation. Although there isn't anything interesting in the matter of screenshots to share, I would like to fill all of you in on how things are progressing lately.

Hierarchy Walkers:

Currently, all Hierarchy Walkers use the model for the Habitat Walker (except for the Purifier) and are in-game. All that remains as far as coding is concerned is to enable to AI to build units using units (any knowledge of how to do this will speed progress, as right now I'm trying to figure it out).

The original UaW models will not be able to be implemented until we get help from a modeler with knowledge of bones/rigging.

Space:

We have completed every single space unit for the game as far as model meshes are concerned, but the models can only be implemented in-game once we have a modeler who is familiar with bones/rigging and/or texturing. Once this is done, there will be a Space Beta in the foreseeable future.

Galactic Mode:

While I can throw a galaxy together rather quickly, there won't be a galactic-level release until space is done (or at least playable).

Thanks to all of those reading this to sticking through the dull times. If any of you have modeling skills in the area of rigging or texturing, please, we need your talents!

nice to see this Mod is still alive and kicking, even if it's having trouble kicking.

We do try. Modelers with all the necessary skills are so hard to find though....

Just a thought- could you use any of Warb Null's free release models to fill in as ships? He has a lot of them that aren't recognizable as Star Wars ships (because the SW universe is so broad) to most Star Wars fans - stuff like the Dragon Destroyer or many of his small shuttle size craft.

It would make you like 10X easier in finishing up the mod.

It's a possibility, but one that I am hesitant in using. This would definitely speed up the mod and, while it may work for the humans, I feel I would have difficulty finding models which fit the Hierarchy and the Novus. Holybeast and I have remained in contact and are still discussing our options. We'll make sure to keep the community up to date.

My suggestion for the Heirachy would be Warb Null's Hell's Anvil (goes with Montross model) as a corvette, and maybe the Derriphan as a capital ship. For Novus, the ideal capital ship would be the Ori capital ship from the Stargate Empire at War mod. Their ship looks just like most of the other Novus tech, but I don't know if the stargate guys would let you use it.

I can look into it, but the permissions may be an issue. I'll also have to run it by Hopybeast. It would probably only be temporary and only put into an "alpha" release.

(supposed to be a reply. ModDB is not iPod friendly)
