Third Age: Reforged 0.6 (Full Version)
Installation guide below!
Installation Guide
Important Note: Make sure you have WinRAR installed on your computer. This will allow you to extract the downloaded files from their RAR packs. If you prefer video tutorials, scroll down to the bottom.
Please make sure to follow the exact instructions to avoid complications.
Step 1: Install the original Third Age 3.2 by installing the following files in proper order:
All three downloads contain easy-to-use installers.
1. Third Age 3.0 (Part 1 of 2)
2. Third Age 3.0 (Part 2 of 2)
3. Third Age 3.2 (Patch)
Step 2: Rename the Third Age 3.2 folder to Third_Age_Reforged. Exactly that.
Step 3: Download Third Age: Reforged 0.6 (There is only 1 part)
Step 4: Double-click the downloaded file top open it. Now click the Extract To button in the top left corner of the WinRAR window. Now navigate and extract to the following path:
\Steam\steamapps\common\Medieval II Total War\mods
It will ask you if you wish to overwrite/replace the files. Click yes to all.
Step 5: Go to your Steam Library and right-click on Medieval II Total War, select Properties, and then Set Launch Options. Insert the following string:
--features.mod=mods/Third_Age_Reforged
Step 6: Once you have done this, you will be able to launch the game by choosing the first option when launching the game on Steam. The option will simply say "Play Medieval II: Total War". This will override the default Medieval II game, so if you wish to launch the original game after installing the mod, simply remove the string from the Launch Options you inserted in Step 5.

hello Synn, i did everything the instuctions told me but if i launch the game it shows third age reforged but then in kicks me out and im back at steam library. Am i doing something wrong?
also having same issue...tried reinstalling the game and even putting under americas but cant get it too stop from crashing at first load screen. have done everything on instructions
as much as i hate to admit it....i didnt follow the instructions to the letter...re downloaded everthing and started again made sure i extracted to the right files and now it works haha dont know that i did wrong but i assume i put the files in mods instead of "medieval 2 total war"
I've got the same problem. I just installed Third Age then Reforged, and I followed the instructions. I spent like an hour trying to get this to work, but it keeps exiting the game as soon as I press play. :(

thank you so much for one of the best mods been up nearly all week waiting for it thank you so much i just wished we had more modders/editors like you guys
Great! Thanks
What's new in this small update from 0.5?
the scenarios pretty much all work now
but again there will be a patch for this one soon, as some things went wrong with the order the file was made, so ill have to find all those files and make an addon with them.
then did i do something wrong? I replaced all 0.5 files with this one and all the scenerios still crash??????
yea, this is standalone, not a patch... its impossible to make ti a patch, since to delet files ina apatch doesnt work, (the problem with the scenarios was the ui loading screen, etc were bugged, so i deleted them. you will ahve to install this 0.6 over a fresh copy of ta 3.2 vanilla im afraid.
omg yusssssssssss
So Hype!!!!!!!! Thank you Mod Creators!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
i am currently 3 mins away from finishing downloading i've seen PA vids on it and it looks amazing i'm am very exited (and hopeful)
wait so, extract into the third age vanilla folder? or just the mods folder? cause that seems weird
Like seriously, why can't people just read the instructions. Synn and Kuro know what they talk about. Rename a copy of Third Age to "Third_Age_Reforged" and then drag the extracted folder into mods, just mods....
But what about the old file you used for 3.2? When you had to rename Third Age to one of the campaign files. Do you keep it like tht or take it out?
I see now... What I did before was extract directly to the folder. I didn't drag the extracted folder into the Third Age folder.
use us houston server for multiplayer for the moment!
Why not give instructions for people without steam?
well if you dont have steam, you are already doing something wrong ^^
you can get your cd key and attach it to steam, if you want steam med 2 to work... its quite simple.

Thanks kuro and synn for the mod guys
Guys do we have to rename the earlier mod that we use like America's renamed to third age reforged pls reply
Did you actually read through the instructions? It tells you exactly how to launch the game. There is no renaming in order to start it.....
See the first step man
You renamed Third Age to Americas in order to launch it. For launching Reforged there is a instruction of copy and pasting, no renaming.
When it comes to the installation there is a simple step of changing a copy of Third Age to "Third_Age_Reforged" before installing. The instructions are very simple.....
Thanks son of imladris
There arent any iron hill dwarves
clearly you installed it wrong then...
I can see a few others are struggling to, I had to rename America's to get third age to work , does that effect reforged procces plz help would be most grateful
you have to make sure you follow the instructions... i will be releasing a YouTube video in a couple days when i release the next patch, for those of you who some how got confused when installing it...
i just wanted to inform you all, that a couple minor bugs (not game breaking) are found from having stapled the mod together in the opposite order before release, they will be fixed in a patch which will be released in a few days, but for now enjoy the mod, everything seems to be working accordingly, stability wise. ^^

It keeps saying it suffered a fatal error. I installed the way the directions say
How do i install it with the Nonsteam version ?
You don't
there will be a patch in a couple days, fixing all the minor issues encountered on release, it seems some models or unit cards are still using their older builds, this will be fixed in a couple days.
hello , i cant change the Third_AGE folder name can anyone help me
If you aren't able to change the name of a folder i don't think you will be able to install the mod....
do you know how i would be able to change the mod name?
Right click on the mod man there will a option of rename
