The project is a HD texture mod for the first part of the game series Thief: The Dark Project / Thief Gold.
This is a review of 1.0. This mod is absolutely fantastic and dare I say it, makes the game look better than the horrible Thief reboot graphically. It doesn't change any gameplay features or sound, purely graphics. The grass and bush especially look mind-blowing and goes from looking like vomit play-dough to photorealistic shrubs. It was literally mind-blowing when I first played it. It manages to keep the exact same atmosphere from the original game yet make it look just so ridiculously better. This is easily the best graphical mod for any game ever. At the time of review, there's also a version for Thief 2 (0.93) which looks great but not nearly as good as Gold for some reason, although it is a far lower version. Version 1.0 for Thief 2 is coming out soon and so is 1.2 for Thief Gold and a new Dark Project version. I'm waiting until the Dark Project version is out so I can go through the series again and hopefully by the time I get to Thief 2 the 1.0 version will be out. I'm so hyped and I can't put off playing Thief any longer!
