This is the standalone version of the latest build. Use only the standalone version!
I have been working on this port for a long time and I can present you this build! =)
-Fixed game code (game could crash when receiving fall damage)
-Fixed barney
-Fixed weapon models
-Added models to maps
-Fixed most of the found broken scripts.
This is the last global assembly, only patches will follow. If no new bugs are found, porting of the second episode will begin.
Use only the standalone version! It was decided to abandon the steam version, as some have problems with its working => the standalone version is used.
other info...
f.e. - first episode
s.c. - sven coop
Excelent mod!! i love They Hunger Mod,Original and svencoop version, and this is awesome! please make Ep2 and 3
Thank you! :)
How do you launch this mod? I tried using hl2.exe but it crashed with an error message. Is there something I'm missing for the standalone version?
Run the theyhunger.bat file (hl2.exe -game theyhunger)
Thanks, the game runs but for some odd reason Source SDK 2013 Singleplayer appears in my steam library despite not installing it. I can also only run the shortcut on desktop since the same error occurs when trying to add it to steam.
Run hl2.exe only with the commands I wrote about above. Also the standalone version contains SDK 2013 steam version.
Is there any way to revert to original Half Life Source ragdoll? This one is too buggy, legs and hands clip through the body when you kill the enemy
I didn't encounter any similar issues while testing the mod, maybe you can attach a screenshot here for clarity.
Hey bro! Nice mod, i would like to learn and know more about standalone source mods, could You help me?
Thank you. What exactly do you want to know?
How did You Made a standalone whit hl source and custom textures? Do You have discord so we can talk?
To be honest, this is just creating a mod for source (nothing more), the mod is created on the basis of hls-fixed code, and works with SDK2013 and some hl1 assets.
I'm a native speaker of the Russian language (my english not good), so I won't communicate.
I will write in more detail about creating mods in the next article, where other porting will be discussed, which may be useful to you. Link
Also as soon as I have free time/desire, I will describe creation of such mods in more detail. Thanks for interest.
is this now the complete TH campaign or just the first episode?
This is the first episode, look at the picture of this download :)
Hey man, when will you make the whole Trilogy, please? :)
I think not soon, but I plan to at least finish the demo version of the second episode.
The third episode will involve a lot of programming; in fact, I almost finished the second one but didn’t polish it properly. I think I'll start this as soon as possible.
2gb!? Is this a whole new game?
Perhaps this is due to the fact that this is a standalone.
And as you know, the standalone contains the necessary libraries for the mod to work (in this case it is sdk2013/hls)
Great job!
Thanks!
Hi! I love this mod! You plan on porting They Hunger 2 and 3 also?
Thank you. I want to port, but at the moment circumstances limit me in this regard :(
I plan to release a demo version of the second episode as a last resort, all that remains is monotonous work on the maps port. There is a code part.
Hello, first of all thanks that's great I still know the original.
It would of course be even better if you could play this mod in hl2dm in coop I have tested it but without success.
You would really have to insert all materials models etc into the bsp file.
I don't think that will happen, do you?
thank you, I wanted to release a co-op version but I postponed this idea, I think that I will port all three episodes from the beginning, then I will start working on the co-op. I really want to resume development on these things.
That sounds really good. I could add all the files to the FastDL for the clients, but that would be a lot of work and the download would be too long for the clients at some point.
Too bad otherwise it would be possible to get the VMTs because I try to compile the fieles myself.
If it is ok for you?
Sorry, I didn't understand right away. Are you referring to the operation of THS on the HL2DMS server? Embedding into the BSP is possible; in this case, it is correct to combine all the maps of the first episode.I'm not focusing on that specifically yet. Perhaps in the future, we can discuss more details in DM, but for now, I can't make any promises.
cool port
Thanks
