The Wars of Arda is a (very) large expansion mod for the EA Games title "The Lord of the Rings: The Rise of the Witchking". We will first be heavily reworking the existing factions (adding Rohan and Harad and merging the Goblins into Isengard) and implementing a "minifaction" system where you begin a skirmish map with a "Core Faction" which contains a variety of units and heroes, and you purchase "Mini Factions" as the match prgresses, giving you access to new units and heroes. The Mod will also be implementing several "Eras" into the mod. This will NOT be an Empire Earth style system where you upgrade from one era to another, but a system where each era is a seperate set of skirmish factions and campaign missions (however all factions will be able to play against each other). Hi all,

As you may have noticed Cirno has finally been turfed out of the main site (www.warsofarda.co.uk) and our new site is in place. For the moment its a little short of content the system is sound and its a lot easier to post new stuff than the old one.

Among the new features on the site heres a few prominent things you may not have noticed.

-Registered users on the site can post screenshots directly in the gallery.
-There is also a blog section for various community members to post...pretty much anything. Expect everything from stuff about mod development to videogame reviews and other random stuff.
-As the public release grows nearer we will also be adding a file/download management system. As well as the mod itself there will be script packs to allow people to convert their maps to standard WoA maps or our custom game modes. We will also allow people to submit their maps to the site for people to download via the same system.

Also you may notice the new Inn subforum which contains the details of our new chatroom for those who like that sort of thing. Im sure ill be in there when I remember it.

Feedback is welcome as always.
