The Stanley Parable is an experimental narrative-driven first person game. It is an exploration of choice, freedom, storytelling and reality, all examined through the lens of what it means to play a video game. You will make a choice that does not matter You will follow a story that has no end You will play a game you cannot win ...it's actually best if you don't know anything about it before you play it :D
The Stanley Parable v1.4 has been released for PC. A remastered, smoother version of the original game. Includes a number of bug fixes, captions for seven languages, significantly reduced file size, and several other little fixes and improvements. Thanks to Collin Eddings for his work on this release.

v1.4 of The Stanley Parable is here! This remastered version of the original is significantly smoother, less buggy, includes subtitles in seven languages, and a much smaller file size to boot! There's no significant new content added to the main game (I'm saving that for the remake :P), but this version is definitely easier to play if you ever happen to boot the game back up again.
Additions to this version of the game include:
-Numerous bug fixes
-Closed Captioning in English, French, German, Italian, Russian, Spanish and Turkish
-All dialogue now pauses when the game is paused
-Opening scene now skippable anytime throughout the scene
-Updated Stanley's monitor to include text
-Modified elevator to include arrows on the buttons
-Updated keypad in boss's office to include screen
-Converted all *.wav files to *.mp3 to significantly reduce file size
A Mac version should be online before too long.
