The main plot of the mod unfolds during the events of Half-Life 2: Episode One. Marty, an experienced rebel, embarks on a raid into the Quarantine Zone of City 17 with his comrades. However, he is captured by the Combine and becomes the subject of their experiments. Considering his combat experience, the Combine implants a program called «Vanguard» into him for carrying out extreme operations. After the explosion of the Citadel, Marty wakes up in the Citadel stasis chamber, surrounded by an anxious atmosphere. He receives a task from the Combine to eliminate a group hindering their evacuation efforts from City 17. But errors in the Citadel core begin to awaken memories of his past, prompting him to seek a return to humanity. Throughout the mission, Marty faces unpredictable obstacles and questions about his identity. Will he overcome the control imposed on him and return to his true essence?
