Here we have an alpha build. Previously released on 02/08/2010 on the relic news forums, this alpha build is being brought to you as a small preview of what has been designed so far, its rather rough so things are still incomplete.
I hope this will be to the liking of the great followers and fans that are currently reading this.

Oh yes been really looking forward to this
large maps but some distance between planets are to big and i can not really zoom out
yes there are still bugs, so as i said it is rough, there are features still being added such as faster ships speeds/ accelertation, to make the distance and time to get to them a little bit better, and the zoom feature can be fixed pretty easily that is still being tweaked
I'll wait for a more polished version, to get a better first impression ;-)
how do you install it?
Game crashed when I tried to load one of the maps
indeed it will there are several maps in there but the main one is Planet Defense, the rest will more than likely crash
quite impressive ... sad it wasn't expanded more (except in Complex i think)
