Started in 2014 as part of Nostalgia 2, an unfortunately dead Cry of Fear custom campaign. I decided to restart back from scratch, go for a single theme this time around, and do it in Half-Life instead of Cry of Fear.

I've been thinking whether I should make a modpage of this now instead of later, preferring to keep developments at low attention level before I finally release something or atleast get it out to Alpha or Beta level. But I figured I'd be saving myself some hassle when I do release this thing and maybe get more people to play it this time unlike the Remod projects that releases suddenly and ended up not getting looked at a lot.

So I should probably start by talking about how this entire thing started, it pretty much began as only one map in my Nostalgia 2 custom campaign for Cry of Fear. Unfortunately, due to motivation bleed, lack of imagination to properly layout rooms, hard-drive failures, and constant distractions from other games or mods, Nostalgia 2 and a couple of other WIP mods I had in mind for Cry of Fear ended up getting the hatchet.

Of course, one of the ideas of N2 is to do all of it in one theme. So when I decided to try mapping again, I thought to run through my old ideas again and pick one, with the SatAM-inspired map being the one chosen. I also decided to do it in Half-Life, mostly because the only enemy that can shoot in Cry of Fear was a Suicider and you can agree to a looney cuckatoo I wouldn't make a semi-stealth mod with that kind of AI.

Don't worry about the stealth though, it's not the kind that would fail the game when you're spotted and if you manage to acquire a weapon from a fallen SWATBot somehow it's all yours to keep with some secret items to keep the gunfighter going. The alarm blaring might get annoying though.

Anyway, back to the topic. Around 2017-ish, I restarted the project, the theme taking place in the post-apocalyptic-robotics-infested city of Robotropolis, hence the name, and get started on making atleast 10 maps as the main plan. It's 2018 now, and all I've got currently is 3 and a half maps with barely enough to show, the same exact causes of N2's failure continuing to haunt me (yes, even the Remod projects distract me from TRP, hence why I'll be pausing all of them until this is done). Unlike N2's disastrous development however, I've got the show to constantly remind me of how to layout the maps, so perhaps this time it'll atleast get to the finish line if nothing else.

There it is for now, hopefully I can actually finish this mod and banish the ghost of N2 from my head.
