...so you made his suit brighter with, I am assuming, and overlay, then you recoloured his eyes...?

Well I would guess the new battalion of Combine soldiers that invade the Earth again would look different, but not TOO different.
The new battalion would not be converted humans, it would be some other converted alien race. When the combine first invaded they used synth soldiers. I ammagine they would use them again.
I think cloth must be darker.
Red eyes.. it will be interesting if you'll make green eyes,like cloth colour
it'd be good if you'd try to remake or edit an existing skin and make camouflage. (urban/forest)
That, or ask for permission and use existing textures released for hl2 and episode 2 on fpsb. (Though i do encourage creating your own stuff. It's just that simple recolours/edits don't make it look that good. :/)
