Nice Remod As always Zikri
As always with Zik Shadow's remods, this is a very well put together addon, a nice compilation of models and sounds, with Zik's usual polish over the balancing and text, etc.
To the Remod I actually give a rating of 8, along with my thanks for Zik's efforts, however I *cannot* recommend The Real, I didn't like it to be honest, it all started on a sour note when the mod had me go through a pitch black vent with ladders and drops, *without a flashlight* and then I had to grab a pistol and fight zombies and crabs while not being able to switch to my crowbar, I felt the need to noclip to the PCV and back so that I could play that encounter properly, from then onwards it was just a lot of featureless blocky corridors that didn't really capture my imagination.
I have played Absolute Zero, a mod that features a minimalistic look for its levels, with simple looking metal corridors, however that mod has charm and style, it skillfully manages to avoid looking barren, it's like playing an alternate reality Half-life, as for The Real, it just felt like what it actually was: empty and featureless. I just quit playing and I can't be bothered to keep going with this review, so I'll just say that I give The Real a rating of 4.
Gonna make something up here: 4 for The Real plus 8 for the Remod equals 12, I'm dividing that by 2 and giving it a 6, just to reflect that I don't recommend it. Thanks again, Zik! Love your Remods.
