The Prodigy is an upcoming Half life 2 total converstion modification. This means the game is being built in Valve's Source engine, and has brand new assests, including new models, textures, maps, and most importatly an original story. The Prodigy is based around the main character's struggle in unconvering a horrifying truth created by his government. A simple citizen, he is thrown into situation he cannot get himself out of. After being relocated to an older sector of the city, he is given a piece of technology that is outlawed by his government from a neighbor, who tells him its must not fall back into the government's hands. In a world where the simplest complaint of the government from a person could make his or her whole apartment complex's tendants disappear, you have found yourself on the wrong side of their law. Doing the unimaginable, you run. And when you find out the truth, you do the insane, you fight.
For this one I'm trying to convey the
cluttered infrastructure that is commonly seen
being hidden away in places like alleys and hidden
courtyards. I'm also intent on layering the
more futuristic sci-fi elements over modern and
past-day technology to create a sense of time
having passed.
