McKool proudly presents the full version of The Mutant Factor, a single player modification for Crysis and Crysis Wars. This is a new single player campaign with a completely different story and a new set of characters. The Mutant Factor is heavily influenced by the Half-Life, Crysis, and F.E.A.R series of games. The player takes the roll of Phoenix, who is sent to investigate strange energy readings at a remote North Korean facility. While on the island, he begins seeing visions of his long lost daughter, Tara, which starts a cascading spiral between reality and possible insanity.After a horrific and bloody battle, he awakens to find himself trapped in an underground facility with only the voice of Dr. Marie Shepherd to guide him out....or is she the only voice? Ask yourself: Do you trust her?

Hello all! I'm sorry for the lack of updates but never fear! I have been working on the mod daily and a great deal of progress has been made!

Hello all! I'm sorry for the lack of updates but never fear! I have been working on the mod daily and a great deal of progress has been made!

I thought I would provide a small update on the status of TMF at this time:


  • Map1 (infection) - I am currently reworking the map to fit the newer direction of the mod. 50% complete
  • Map2 (Gestation) - I have completed all changes to this map. 100% complete
  • Map3 (Mutation) - This is a completely new map which will conclude the story. I am adding details to the map every day and have made a great deal of progress! I still have more architecture to build before it is complete though. 60% complete

Once I have completed all of the level design, I will record all of the new voiceovers and insert them into all 3 maps. Of course, what self-respecting mod update would be complete without screenshots! Enjoy!
