Sadly, I have to officially announce that The Mutant Factor 2 mod is officially dead.
I know there have been no updates so most of you already figured this out but I wanted to finally explain what happened.
Basically, two things killed this mod:
1. The modding community and Crytek never really supported modding on Crysis 2. I was so excited to use the C2 assets and editor and loved what I had created so far. Unfortunately, I ran into technical issues that were not present in the older engine and, when I probed the forums, found nothing to help me. Crytek didn't even have a Crysis 2 modding forum! They were too focused on the FreeSDK. I thought that would be great until I realized that I could not use any of the C2 assets which I needed for my mod. I am not a modeler so the FreeSDK didn't have everything I needed to complete the mod. That was so frustrating!
2. My interest waned. Simple as that. I am a team of one (with the exception of the voiceover talent and some help with the menu in the first mod) so I had no one to spur me onwards. I was hitting a brick wall with technical issues and I was beginning to work on my music again after almost 20 years.
So there you have it. I never posted that the mod was dead because I held out hope that I would, once again, pick up where I left off and release something. I do not usually let projects die without finishing them.
On an upbeat note, I released my first album in years in October of 2015 and am halfway through my 2nd album. Here is our bands Facebook page: Void Contact FaceBook Page
If you use the app on our FB page, you can listen to the first album: "Many Happy Returns".
It's a mix of Power Pop (Jellyfish, Toy Matinee, and The Beatles) meets Progressive Rock (Yes, Genesis, and Rush) with lots of harmonies!
Thanks for following!

It's sad when a mod dies :(
Sad for me too
Crytek absolutely dropped the ball on CE3/Crysis 2 SDK. That's why we cancelled Sapience first and foremost.
Which disappointed me greatly! I was looking forward to Sapience.
Sad to hear that. Crytek went from openly supporting Mods to vehemently ignoring them with the Release of C2. Which is a shame, considering how much more weapon and enemy variety was present in that game.
I feel like it had something to do with the beta leak before the Release of Crysis 2, locking up the game so it would be more secure explains why the console commands were all but useless upon release.
Sorry to hear that, but I always enjoyed playing The Mutant Factor mod for C1. You did a great job on that.
